I would like to know is renton, wa a good place to live because I am relocating here soon,

the zp code is 98058. The housing seem to be expensive, but I want to live in a safe area. Therefore some people have told me not live in tacoma, wa but i am hearing bad things about renton now.

Renton is a middle income suburb of Seattle with many people working at a large Boeing Plant and other industrial facilities in Renton and nearby. While I would not opt to live there, it is a decent older suburb with a mixture of housing and reasonably easy access to shopping, the airport, and downtown Seattle. Crime rates and other problems are as you would expect in a middle and lower middle income suburb. Traffic is fairly bad, but it is everywhere these days.

Housing in the Seattle-Tacoma area is expensive by national standards no matter where you live.

The state of Washington is bankrupt.  So to answer your question, I'd have to say find a state to live in that isn't.
