I love my ex girlfriend, but she has a new boyfriend, what do i do?

we recently broke up not too long ago. it was an on & off relationship, but i was trying so hard to make us work. i was committed, & dedicated to her, but for some reason, we would always break up for stupid reasons that could be resolved. she wanted to be committed to me as well, but idk what happened in her mind. well, not even 24 hrs after we broke up, she tells me that she is talking to someone else, and now dating him. i am not going to come in between her new relationship. the last thing i need to be is to look desperate for love, and a needy person. i told her my thoughts, and she acknowledge them, but she took it as a difficult situation to talk about. and i understand that very well. i am aware that she has a new bf. but i want her back, how can i go about doing so the right way? i have self respect for my self, and i don't want to cause any drama, or look desperate, put her in a bad predicament b/c me wanting her back is bad enough, or force her to choose. if i get her back, it would be because i was her number one and she WANTED to be with me. not a "back up boyfriend" in case the one she has leaves her or what not. i just want to know how to get her back the right way. any advice?

Dude, forget what these people are telling you. Hear me out. The best way to get your girl back is by making her jealous. Start dating someone else or ask another girl to pretend she's your new girl. I agree with amanda. the same thing happened to my guy friend, except it wasn't an on-off thing. he still loves her but she's with another guy and they have never been back together. i think she is moving on and doesn't want to get back together anymore, despite what she says about she still loves him and stuff like that. i think thats BS if you ask me.

how sure are you that(assuming she gets back with you) she won't leave you again for another guy? you can never tell. so i think the best would be to wait(hard, i know) but there's nothing you can do. it seems like she has moved on.

Wow if your story sounded any more on point I would say you were my ex boyfriend and not answer this but I'll do it anyways. lol. I was in the EXACT same situation and my ex felt the same exact way...I hate to say it but if you and her broke up and she has a new boyfriend then maybe you should move on too...I know from my own experience from the situation that when I left my ex I was over the situation and him as well. well to me it seems like you put too much effort into a relationship that she does not really care about. if she can move on to some other guy a day later then she is very inconsiderate to your feelings as well. its good that you want her bank and you are willing to work to get her back but it sounds to me that you are the good one in the relationship. she seems not to care and thats what sucks. if you see any good coming out of this then go ahead and try to get here back but dont do something that you will regret. dont waste your time if you are the only one working hard to keep things together. it takes two and communication. good luck
