  1. Online traing yes. Most local colleges offer classes. The real question is where do you get you hands-on training. Book knowledge is not enough.


    I am in AZ so I do not how FL works. Here the fire agencies are responsible for the cause and origin investigation. For most of us we are not fulltime fire investigators. I work in a fire prevention office. My duties include fire prevention, education, plan review, construction inspections, fire protection system inspections just to name a few. 


    Do you have some special skills that could be volunteered to a department? I would suggest you start by getting in touch with a fire investigator in your area or a find a fire related association.
