What's the reason for your sponsor to cancel your visa? Did you resign? Did you get fired? To cancel your Labour card your sponsor has to provide your signature that you received all outstanding wages and end of service benefits.

Against an additional fee of Dhs 140 your former sponsor can cancel your visa without holding your original passport. He only needs a copy of your passport and the visa page.

After cancellation of your visa a 6 months ban will be imposed by the MOL automatically unless your sponsor provides you with a NOC. During the 6 months ban you are able to obtain a visit visa, but you are not allowed to work unless you take employment in any FreeZone.

After cancellation of the residence visa you are allowed to stay in the UAE for another 29 days.
