How would I go about doing this or would it be easier and cheaper to hire movers, I am not bringing many things with me. All of it should fit in the car while being shipped or moved.

  1. The Freight Forwarder companies do it pretty well. But do not let anyone talk you into letting it go as "deck" cargo! The ship workers tend to rob any stereos/radios/dvds on the car, so pull them off and ship separately, by a bonded carrier! Also, depending on what company you choose to ship your car with (via ocean or air) they will have a minimum weight of what can be in your car when you ship it.

  2. I once shipped a car from Houston, using Dole boats, they were very helpful in helping me fill up forms. The cost is about $550.00. It is shipped from Freeport. Inside the car you can place some of your personal belongings. You will also be paying and introduction tax for the car,  this in order to be able to register in the honduras system. This tax mainly depends on the car year and its invoiced value.
