I am hearing voices alone at home?

Whenever I'm home alone, just me sitting at the computer in total silence, I will hear voices, not loud (Not telling me to kill things, mind you) and it sounds like it is a radio, very muffled, barely can hear any words. It sometimes sounds like an elderly man. I look all over my house, looking for causes of these noises. Check the radios, go outside, and there will be no root cause. I've been having this little issue since I was 14 (I'm 18 now), being alone in this house and hearing muffled voices.

If other people in your house hear nothing, you're having hallucinations, not visual but auditory. You need medical help before it gets worse. There's some chemical imbalance in your brain....

i see it as a gift i got it and they talk too me ranging from local stuff and regular talk too world stuff.. i have learned much from mine.../ still do.. yours sound like they are cool get to know them.. god bless truly

Here is a possible solution if your voices get really bad:

There is a countermeasure being used by people
who hear "voices" they presume to be artificial in
origin, conversationally called "voice to skull
harassment."  These people report relief as a result
of using this idea.

The idea is to play, either through a speaker or by
way of a portable MP3 player using headphones, a
"jumble" of audio tracks from radios playing
different talk-oriented stations.  This has allowed
people with heavy voice to skull experiences to
break their attention free from the content of the
voices, and allows them a rest from forced
attention 24/7.

I'd like to suggest that this countermeasure might
well provide at least some welcome relief for
psychiatric patients troubled by "voices" of
NATURAL illness origin as well.

Were you hearing these noises while in your sleep or were you fully awake for real.  Some times dreams feel very real.  

Jokes aside; i hear noises all the time also and not all noises can be heard by everyone in the room.  You need to see if others in your house hear them also; if they do then its nothing but if they don't, you are the chosen one.  

You must ask the noises what are they looking for and how can you help them?  Maybe they are restless souls who are hanging between the two worlds for justice.
