Ok, if you know a lot about physics, or know a great website I can go to, plz Help me with a question.

What is the percent uncertainty in the measurement 2.26+/- (plus or minus) .25 m .

I just need an explanation, please include sig figs if these types of problems require sig figs. This was our first day of class assignment, after we never learned anything today...

    I'm not sure what you want.

    percent error is ± 0.25/2.26 x 100 = ± 11%

    like any percent, divide and multiply by 100

  2. Measured value = 2.26 m

    Magnitude of uncertainty = .25 m

    % uncertainty = .25 * 100/2.26 = 25/2.26 = 11.06

    Ans: 11.06 %
