  1. i wish i was coming too haha!

for sure hit up the beaches in croatia, anywhere along the dalmatian coast, they are all beautiful

  2. Don't miss Macedonia. It's because of the hospitality, untouched nature, rich culture, Holy Land - one of the few countries mentioned in the Bible, great traditional food, amazing traditional folk music and dances, low prices, birth place of Mother Teresa, Kokino - the 4th oldest observatory in the world acording to NASA

    I'll suggest Ohrid

During the day you can go on any of the many beautiful beaches by the shore of the lake, do some shoping, sightseeing in the city or just sit in one of the many cafés in any of the narrow streets in the Old Town and enjoy. For all the young people, the nightlife is great and vibrant. The cafes work late at night, but there’re also so many nightclubs where you can carry on from there.

For sightseeing, there’re enormous many old churches, my favourite ones are Plaoshnik, more than 15 centuries old, St. Jovan Caneo, St. Naum… If you climb on the Samuil Fortress, just 5 min from the centre, you get amazing sight on the whole lake.

The Lake is clean, one of the oldest ones in Europe, from 1980 protected by UNESCO as a place of world cultural and natural inheritance. Most of the lake’s plant and animal species are endemic, which also makes Ohrid unique. The most famous among these are two types of Ohrid Trout. You should try them prepared on the traditional way.

Ohrid is also known as the site of the first Slavic university run by St. Clement and St. Naum at the end of the 9th century. Ohrid, also, used to be the centre of the orthodox Christianity in the whole region. There are 365 churches to be explored, one for every day of the year. They are even working on the Museum on water this year (on the place were a bronze age settlement used to be)..There’s so much history there…

And DO NOT miss a boat trip on the lake, especially at night, believe me one of a kind experience!!

I must not forget to mention the hospitability of the people there.

In the last few years Ohrid is soooo popular among foreign tourists, especially Greeks, Dutchmen, Bulgarians, Serbians, Izraelis, even Chinese people! So, check it out!!!

  3. Wow.  Lucky!  Definintely hit Prague.  There's a great museum of torture instruments (if you get a rainy day), and the old part of town with the astrological clock the square and the castle is a must see.  Krakow, Poland is gorgeous.  The main square and Sukiennice is a great way to spend a day.  There's also the Wawel Castle there.  Zakopane isn't far from Krakow and is a mountain town, so its a great place to go hiking.  Auswitz is also in the area, if that kind of thing interests you (very sad though!).  Gdansk (Poland again) is a port in the way north, but very pretty if you have the chance.

London is great--and so much to see, you won't need my help.  Bath, Stratford, Oxford, Stonehenge--all outside of London, but fun to see.

Paris--again, don't need my help!  The Pere Lachaise cemetary is really nice.  Lots of famous people buried there.  The Louvre is a great place for ice cream, fyi.  Some of the best in the city.  Montmarte/Sacre Couer is really nice.  Versailles is cool too, if you get the chance.

South of France is nice.  Avignon, Provance.  Arles I think was the city with the cafe from the Van Gogh painting.  The Cote d'Azur is okay.  A day or two is all you really need.  The Italian Rivera is better, esp Cinque Terre.  Totally recommend that!  And I LOVED Verona in Italy.  Best pizza I had was there.  In Rome, go to Alfredo's.  Fetuccine Alfredo was created there.  St. Peter's is gorgeous too.  It's nice to see the Sistine Chapel, but go on the free day.  The ceiling is all the way at the end, and most people are only interested in that anyhow.  Florence is lovely.  Dante's house is there.  There's also a great club called Central Park.  Very fun!

Spain is phenomenal!  Ibiza is a blast...but expensive.  I've heard Mallorca is nice too.  Madrid is amazing...the Prado is a great museum.  The Parque Retiro is my recommendation too.  In Barcelona, the La Familia church is too cool.  All the Gaudi stuff is neat, and the Guell Park is a must see.  There's also the Olympic Village, which is neat.   Oh, and Seville and Grenada...the Alhambra I highly recommend.  The South of Spain has some nice beaches, so hit those up instead of the French Rivera (which has rocks instead of sand!).  Monaco is cool to go to see the casinos, so dress up and go at night.

Amsterdam is so fun!  The red light district can be shady, but worth the trip.  Berlin is great too.  Lindenstrasse is nice for shopping.

Just get a great book and have fun!  Don't be rigid, go with the flow, and make friends with locals...they'll tell you the best bars, resturants, beaches, etc. which is what makes the trip truly memorable!  Have a great time!!
