How’s Business set to make big business at Plumpton – Novices Chase Preview
Plumpton horseracing track is scheduled to host European Breeders’ Fund/Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association Mares’ Novices’ Chase at 2: 45 (GMT) on Monday, February 27.
The Class 4 race of 2m4f distance has £3,054 prize money. The four mares, who are lined-up to show their guts, include How’s Business, Cecily Parsley, She’s Jolly and Strawberry Villa.
Here we present career snapshots of all the runners in order to determine who is hot and who is not.
How’s Business
Charlie Mann’s black mare has won her last four races in a row, starting from April 2009. Her last victory came on January 29, 2012. As a whole, the brilliant runner has won 7 out of her total 19 starts so far.
The eight-year-old mare’s unbeaten record of four victories has made her a favourite for today’s contest. She now seems to be in a favourable position to thrive at Plumpton. Her chances to win the race are as high as 90 percent.
Cecily Parsley
Hughie Morrison’s mare has been winless to date since her debut in July 2009. She has run for 6 times totally. After finishing 5th in a race on January 5, 2012, she went on to get 4th spot on February 15.
The novice runner’s past record suggest that she will not be able to make any impact in today’s marathon. However, if she manages to run to her best, she may finish 3rd at Plumpton.
She’s Jolly
Trained by Linda Jewell, the black mare started her career on January 2, 2012. After finishing 7th in the maiden outing, she grabbed 3rd spot in her second and last race on January 16.
These two contests have exposed the young mare’s talent to some extent. She is likely to demonstrate a good run today and finish at least 3rd. However, she is more likely to get second rank.
Strawberry Villa
Alison Batchelor’s black mare is going to stage her debut at Plumpton today. There lies great uncertainty about what she will do in the event. However, she is not likely to get any of the top third spots.
Conclusion
The above analysis shows that How’s Business is the hot favourite runner for Novices’ Chase. She will be able to cruise to victory easily as none of the other three mares is supposed to challenge her. Let us get ready for the action. Good luck to all the
runners.
