 South Africa as the name implies is located on the southern tip of Africa. In 1806, the British took over the area from the Dutch and after series of wars, the Afrikaners and British formed a merged rule in 1910 as the Union of South Africa. 

Apartheid which was established in 1948, is the seperation of people by race and it ended in 1994. South Africa gained Independence in the year 1961 and up-to-date 2015: they are 54years old.
