How many rap artists are actually murderers?

You hear it all the time, 50 cent etc, Its all the same. Rapping about how they live in their little gangs and how theyve busted caps in people. Does society really buy the music of murderers and drug dealers?

I've heard Birdman actually has, and "busting caps" (shooting) people is not the same as killing them. People say the Teardrop tattoos under the eyes represents how many people they've killed, but I doubt Lil Wayne has killed 4 or 5 people. The drug-dealing probably isn't far from the truth.

If that were true, rappers would probably be in jail or have gone to court, don't you agree? You can’t record songs in prison... A lot of rappers come from a poor background, but they aren't committing serious crimes like murder. I've known of a few rappers who were involved in drug dealing, but most likely nothing else. Remember, it’s just a song. Who said it has to hold truth?
