  1. The adjusters job is to investigate, evaluate,estimate,  negotiate, deny or settle the claim as appropriate. The adjuster decides who they think is at fault for the accident. How much each driver is at fault. The adjuster estimates the damage to the vehicles. The adjuster evaluates any injury claims and negotiates settlement.

    Their assessment of a claim has a very large affect on it's outcome.
