How do you catch a fairy?

I have believed in fairies all my life and I thought since there was a solar eclipse coming up, it might be a better chance. For those who are helpful I will reward 10 points, please give me step by step instructions and some real outcomes. thank you!!!!

I heard there is a kind of water that they rub on their eyes to see faeries any time.  But you can only get this water in a fairy fort or house.  If you find a fort and find the way inside, DO NOT EAT ANYTHING YOU FIND IN THERE no matter how good it looks.  If you eat any of their food while you are in there they can trap you in there forever.  It's okay to drink though.
Look for a stone bowl with the water in it.  It should be close to the doorway where you came in.  Dip your finger in the water and touch your closed eyes with your wet finger.  You should leave right after that. You will be able to see the faeries the next day.  But don't let them know you can see them or they may try to poke out your eyes, because they don't lke it when people can see them.  If you have been reading the comments you will know why!
You have to use something made out of iron or steel to hold them because if you do catch any faeries they will be pretty angry.  The metal will keep them from using their power on you.
But why would you want to catch one anyway?  They aren't like pets.  They have their own families and lives.  They won't do tricks for you when you want.  They will always be trying to find a way to trick you and escape and get home.  And if you keep them trapped inside the metal for too long it takes away their strength until they are finally dead.  Then you're in real trouble, young feller-me-lad!
