How do i find out my drivers lisence number?

i got a ticket, and i need to go to traffic school, but the cop took away my lisence. And on the fill-out form it says i need my drivers lisence number. How do i get the number?

Look at the ticket he gave you.  If it is not there you may be able to get it from your insurance agent.  When you get it back, make a photocopy of it and everything else (credit cards, SS card  ect...) and keep it in a safe place in case anything is ever lost!

Everyone is so uptight about your license being taken.  You still have a drivers license, only a court or the DMV can take it from you.  The license card was taken as bond to make sure you will show up for court and do what you agreed to do.  Everyone should get a grip on things, this is SOP in most states!  There is no reason getting the White House or Pentagon involved, much less Internal Affairs!

If it isn't on the ticket go back to the police station and get your license back either that or get them to tell you the number. The cop should've returned it to you.

I know in America only the court can take away your license, the cop either was being a butthead or simply forgot to return it. This happened to me once with a CHP officer. The next day I went to the station showed the desk officer the citation and after waiting around a while my license was returned.

What a pain!! Contact the courts where your ticket came from. All your information will be in their system. You can also contact DMV to get your info.
