Hey Im 16 live in the UK and have been applying for summer jobs all holiday but no one seems to want to take me. So I was wondering if there is any other LEGAL ways of making money. Like what best thing to buy and sell? Or other business ventures tried and proven?

  2. It's hard for younger people to get jobs because of the headaches for employers to schedule and train employees who will return to school and possibly quit. You need to give employers peace of mind in those regards. Don't lie. You want a job and company that you fit into. Until that time comes, you can set up your own business and work for yourself. That will answer your requirements of "legal ways to make money." What are your skills and interests??? Success in business is all about finding a need and filling it. Don't try to sell everything to everyone. Concentrate on a niche. Why not become a personal assistant to busy executives or families? Why not help the elderly or disabled with chores? What not sell products or services (or both) that help others make money, save money, save time or get peace of mind??? You might be able to write a newsletter or teach classes on things you know well. You might be able to use equipment that you have that others don't have like your computer for example. Maybe you can design a brand name of t-shirts or produce catchy bumper stickers or coffee mugs or other imprintable items. Think about hosting parties or puppet shows for younger kids. Why not repair skateboards or bicycles or other items that are "hot"? Make and sell crafts... your own and/or those made by others. Do you like to cook or bake??? Get a license and whip out your specialties to sell to local office buildings. Sell items for local businesses.
