Question:

How can they keep taking my money??

I signed up for this club: Boca Java. They send you coffee by mail every however many weeks you pick. They take money right out of your account each time. The deal I signed for was that after two shipments I could cancel my account with them or I could pay a $25 fee and cancel early.

I sent them an e-mail asking them to please cancel my account, I'll pay any fees, etc. I am now unemployed and can't afford it.

They reply, telling me I need to call customer service to cancel. I call and am on hold for 30 minutes, then it disconnects. I call back; same thing. (I've been hopefully calling for the past two months and it happens every time.)

So I e-mail them again explaining this and asking them to PLEASE cancel my account through e-mail. I get the same response. Automated response... Great customer service.

So I send a letter by mail and never hear from them. I deleted my debit card info from my account with them, but they still have it and keep sending me coffee! What to do??

  1. They still have your bank account on file. I would go to the bank and change accounts and place a stop on all electronic transfers. Also you now have a federal lawsuit against the company for fraud. It is called bank wire transfer of funds when you asked for a stop. Call the FBI and they will go after them.

  2. I am going through the same thing with this company!  No matter what you do, you can't get through to them.  I filed a report with the better business bureau, I get the same service as you, being put on hold forever and then it disconnects.  I can't believe a business can do this.  Last week I switched my account number and told my bank what was going on.  So they can't get me anymore.
