Hostess Gift?

Question

My boyfriends parents invited us to stay with them next weekend in a vacation home they rented in the countryside. I want to show my appreciation by bringing a gift. There are 10 of us staying there, and I dont want to give them only food as everyone will be bringing something and the fridge will be filled to the max.

I was thinking board games and snacks in case it rains? I dunno...

How sweet and considerate you are!  Too many people today never even remember a hostess gift! .....  The game idea is good.  Scattergories and Pictionary are both really fun for alot of people, and all ages.  You could wrap the box in a new, summery tablecloth with a big bow, and tie matching napkin rings to the ribbon (napkins inside the package):) .....  Or a tower of graduated sized boxes (the game on the bottom), with each box containing a different snack for the weekend (trail mix, Jordan almonds, Caramel corn, etc).. A big ribbon, with bow on top, tying all the boxes together......

Board games are a great idea, love that.  Would they appreciate a few bottles of nice wine and a bouquet of flowers for the table?  I know I always appreciate flowers.

I love the board games idea.  Jig saw puzzles are also a good rainy day cottage activity.  Maybe a book on birds or local plants.

a hostess gift does not have to be something they have to share like food,,,,you could bring a game but again,,,it doesn't need to be shared with anyone but themselves>>

You could bring them a gift basket full of soaps and lotions,.kitchen towels wrapped in a basket,,different unusual BBQ sauces<>Look in some magazines for more gift giving ideas,,,Good Luck and have a BLAST!!!!
