Home remedies for bad tooth pain ?

My father is going to the dentist tuesday to get his tooth checked out,but until then what can he use to stop his really bad tooth pain ?

And it has to be home remedies because antibiotics and medication didn't work. Cloves worked but then they stopped working.

Just a sip of warm wiskey works wonders.  It might sound strange but it does something to the nerves in your teeth that deaden it and makes the pain go away.

If medications didn't stop the pain  He more than likely needs a root canal.  Call your dentist they may be able to bring you right in.  You don't want to mess around or he could wind up with an abscess.
