Hi i am going to australia this summer during my visit i am going to sydney and i want to visit palm beach?

is it worth going to visit? also when i am shopping are the markets any good like chinatown and where is the best place to go?

There are 17 good beaches on Sydney's north shore.

Palm Beach is one of those good beaches.

Just hop on the #190 Palm Beach Express.

are u a home and away fan?? cos that the only reason ive heard of palm beach..

as for shopping.. the best spots r in the city. there is paddys markets, and then above them is a small shopping centre.

there is china town there... but i havnt been there b4

but the best spot for just ur average clothes shopping would be along pitt and george streets.  and like in the QVB its pretty big wen u go down to the bottom. and there is also a westfield there..

Palm Beach is nice - but don't expect to be able to visit 'the diner' or see anything really except for 'the surf club' - apart from that it's just a beach (albeit a beautiful one) - it will look really familiar though!

For markets, google the following:

Bondi Markets (Sunday 9-4)

Glebe Markets (Sat 10 - 4)

Kirribilli Marekts (every 4th Saturday)

Paddington Markets (10 - 5 Saturdays)

Paddy's Marekts (Thurs - Sun, 10 - 5)

The Rocks Market (sat & sun)

Rozelle Markets (9-4 Sat, Sun)

The best of those is probably Rozelle, Paddington, The Rocks - but it all depends what you're looking for.  

Shopping - there are big "Westfield" shopping centres about all over the place with speciality and department stores, and in the city there's Myer...and also David Jones which are large department stores.  The biggest shopping centres not too far from the city are probanbly at Chatswood or Bondi Junction.  I would avoid shopping around Circular Quay and the Rocks if I were a tourist, as the prices are inflated & specifically aimed at tourist shopping.

Hi yeah Palmy is worth visiting, its about 10 mins from my house lol. But its  really nice and yo should walk up to the light house. And not really shore about shops!
