For 8 months now, i had my wedding colors picked out as orange and red, but now that we're shopping for dresses, i hate the two colors together! I mean, i want my wedding colors to be autum- ish...but i don't want the bridesmaids dresses to be the typical wine/red color and the orange is too hard to match with the guys vets...So i guess my question is what would be great colors that arent so typical, but still give the autumn feel? Pictures would be greatly appreciated!!

  1. A great color that is nice for autumn is David's Bridal's "Apple Red". They have a lot of dresses that are that color that are extremely beautiful.

You can also kind of mix the two colors, and have them wear a copper which is kind of like a mixture or orange and red. Davids also has copper as a color, take a look

And I know that you said you'd like Autumn colors, but if its difficult for you, you can always go with black. For weddings it is beautiful, elegant, and timeless. Needless to say it goes with EVERYTHING!

  2. In the 1950's my aunt got married with autumn colors, there were three bridesmaids one wore gold, one wore rust, and one wore emerald green.  The dresses were satin I think, or silk, really cool 50's style cocktail length with full skirts and fitted bodice.  The pictures are all in black and white but everyone still raves about how beautiful it was.  I've seen the green dress (my aunt saves everything) and it's a gorgeous, rich deep emerald.  I like the idea of the emerald being thrown in with the autumn colors, even in fall there is still plenty of green in nature!

  3. choc browns and orange

  4. Autumn makes me think of jewel tones. Emerald, ruby, tpoaz, amythyst, sapphire, ect.

  5. Try Burnt Orange and Chocolate Brown or Burnt Orange and Deep Red...they're beautiful together. David's Bridal has them.

  6. Chocolate brown, gold tones, metallic burnt oranges, burnt reds, there are so many options. Maybe even do everything in one color family just in different hues. Make it very monochromatic in deep hues and it will look very autumn-is because it'll be dramatic. It sounds weird but go to home depot and look at the paint swatches because they come with 3 or more different shades that compliment each other you'll be able to choose more wisely. Also brides.com has an array of fall themed wedding pics and colors. Good luck!!

  7. A brownish or burgandy that leans more to brown. Maybe a como of browm and orange.

  8. I am also having an autumn wedding.. my bridesmaids are wearing latte...kind of a light brown...these are the dresses that come in that color from Davids bridal.... Congratulations and good luck!

  9. eggplant and a deep mustard yellow, or how about using a copper color with a deep red? it's like orange, but a little less abrasive. good luck and have fun!

  10. I like the colors Chocolate Brown, Rusty orange and gold together.

You could have the girls wear brown dresses with orange or ivory sashes. If you can't find orange vests, try gold ones for the guys.

  11. Well, why not try some light colored palettes. Maybe you could go with the color Mango, a lighter but smooth orange and a rich and light color of brown.

  12. keep your colors but put the girls in brownish dresses with red and orange flowers!
