I'm using it to regulate my cycle....I went to the whole foods store and they had the choice between uncooked powder and cooked powder....the lady there said the cooked was better..............so I grabbed that one, is that better or not?

Also how long did it take to work for you?

Did you have any side effects?

How did you get it down...egh!?

  1. I know that you might not be trying to have a baby but, When I was trying to have one I had irregular peroids to. So when my Doctor told me to take Folic Acid We all didn't know that it worked to help me regulate my cycle.

Just always remember to always put on a condom before having s*x ok :) have fun.

  2. Well, cooked and uncooked both have their benefits... but it depends on how hot it was cooked, too. Too much heat can destroy the nutritional benefits of an herb, so it shouldn't be heated too high when it's cooked.

That being said, the easiest way to "get it down" is to buy it in a capsule form... that way, you don't have to worry about the taste.

Most of our customers tend to use Maca to enhance their libido, but I have heard of a few people using it to regulate their cycle. In general, it takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to notice the benefits, but to alter your cycle, it might take a month or two... you should notice relatively soon if it's going to help.

There are no general cautions, warnings, or interactions listed on the bottle, but if you're taking any drugs, it's best to check with a pharmacist or doctor to make sure none of the drugs would interact with Maca (or any new herb you start taking). Good luck!
