HP Printer prints blank pages

 According to our knowledge the black and white Cartridges and the colored Cartridges are differently placed in the printer so might be possible that the black and white Cartridge is just about to end as you have mentioned that you just recently purchased the printer from the yard sale, so you never knew that how much it has been used so its better to replace the old black and white Cartridge with new one.
