  1. I have similar model, if there is deep pitting in or around the breech or in the chamber there is nothing that can be done to restore the weapon. It will basically be best suited to be mounted as a wall piece display. All though you still could search for the missing parts. I have found it hard to find any. My model has a very small amount of pitting and I have fired the gun a few times with low power ammo but it was risky on my part. My great grand father and grand father used it for squirrel, rabbit and quail. I keep mine in working order and clean but it is just a family heirloom now.
