  1. Hey Andy....

Look into the Takamine guitar with the single cutaway. Takamine have a beautiful finih, and awesme sound . The fingerboard is beautiful and very good action,

You can actually put .009 exta light with no truss rod adjustment also. This guitar is well set at the factory and has good re-sale value.

Yamaha is a good guitar but not as good as Takaminie. The little details is what makes Takamine a beter choice. The wood is better as well as the finish.

  2. An Alvarez RD8 Guitar is a great beginner guitar.

  3. http://www.BogdonMusic.com  its crazy cool and cheap

  4. I usually recommend the Yamaha acoustic to all my beginner students, the Guitar Center has a really nice one for $250.00, and when I got one for a relative of mine I asked for a discount and they reduced the price by $50.00 !!!!!

Yamaha has come a long way with their sound, be sure to play all the guitars in your budget, as they all have a little different sound and action !!!!!!! Good luck !!!!!!

  5. Yamaha rules. Really a great acoustic guitar to start with. And inexpensive as well.
