  4. st kilda is a pretty cool place to stay, pretty easy to get anywhere in the city from there, while down there you can't miss the great ocean road. absolutely amazing road trip. melbourne library is pretty amazing, melbourne gaol where ned kelly was hung. luna park is a fun day out. if your into your soaps, the neighbours experience is a good day, melbourne zoo is good. the list goes on and on.

  5. cborg76 has really answered it for you, but if you value your life, STAY AWAY from Crown Casino, and any Melourne street with night clubs as it is a battlefield after 11pm with all the drunks and druggies thinking they are having a good time smashing up anyone they feel like.

  6. Well first and foremost you HAVE to check out Crown Casino.

    Also:

Go up to the top of the Rialto Tower, you'll  get an amazing view of the city.

Having a meal along Southbank is also a really good thing to do, you have good views of the Yarra.

Of course you have to visit Melbourne Zoo, the Aquarium, and the Museum...

Melbourne's nightlife is awesome, i love it there. There's too many good bars and clubs to name.

As for suburbs, i love Brunswick and Cartlon =]

  7. Hello,

A great trip is to Phillip Island and see the penguins coming onto the beach at sunset. Take plenty of warm clothes though, the cold wind is VERY cold.

It depends on your age and what you like doing but if you like going to a pub and you are young THE ESPY at St. Kilda is great. You can get a tram to the doorstep.

It depends on your budget but if you want to stay in a hotel look up wotif.com.  We did this last year and we chose the secret deal where you don't find out where the hotel is until you have paid.  We paid $330 for 3 days and ussually it was over a thousand dollars I was told.  It was lovely and we stayed at the Saville.  It was close to the tram stop and very close to the CBD.

There is a fantastic markets in the city open everyday and buses go there.  Great for souveneirs and clothes and shoes.

Go to the Info. centre opposite Flinders Street Train Station, in the heart of Melbourne ,also try on the net:   www.melbourne.vic.gov.au or ph:  03 96589658.

Good luck and have a fantastic holiday.
