New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has drafted in Duncan Fletcher, the former England coach, as consultant for the national team and will join the side during Kiwis’ ongoing one-day series against India, in India. Fletcher  the former Zimbabwe captain, has been hired by the NZC in a bid to "keep the team environment fresh and will now work under the capacity of a full-time coaching consultant. The inclusion of Fletcher in to the NZC was announced by Roger Mortimer, the NZC high performance manager. Mortimer also hailed Fletcher’s expertise as team consultant saying: "Duncan is a highly regarded coach and we are looking forward to having someone with his cricketing knowledge engage with the team
