     Vinegar does not lead to weight loss on its own; drinking apple cider vinegar may be useful as part of a blended weight loss strategy. The only documented research study about the effects of apple cider vinegar on weight loss took place in Japan, as 175 people who were obese but otherwise healthy were given either water or vinegar each day for 12 weeks.
