Whitch part of Tenn.???              Bennett's BBQ, they have a resturant in both Pigeon Forge  and Gatlinburg. Pigeon Forge is Huck Finn's Catfish Restaurant. You can get all-you-can-eat chicken or catfish. They also serve alligator tail. Each meal will cost you around $10 depending on what you get. There's a giant catfish out front.

In Memphis  it should be barbecue and Interstate Bar-B-Q or Corky's are really good. You need to hit Beale street at night especially on the weekend.

I am not exactly sure where you will be, but the Nashville area has some great restaurants. Margot, Watermark, Zola and Radius 10 are great for casual fine dining. Zola is Mediterranean (mostly Spanish Mediterranean) and has won Best Restaurant of the Year for years and years in a row. Margot is a French Country/Provencal inspired restaurant in East Nashville that usually follows closely behind Zola in polls. Watermark and Radius 10 both specialize in fine American and Southern American cuisine that is taken to the next level. Watermark has been featured in both New York Times Travel and Gourmet Magazine. One of my favorites is the fried green tomatoes with butter poached lobster and sweet pea puree. Radius 10 won Nashville Scene's Editor's Choice for Best-All Around Restaurant last year. Their signature dish is Low Country Shrimp and Scallops with black truffle grits, asparagus and chanterelle mushrooms.

Then there is Capitol Grille in the Hermitage Hotel. It is a true fine-dining restaurant (with a Mobil 4-Star rating) - open 365 days a year for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It also specializes in fine Southern cuisine.

Im with Liz cracker barrel is awsome, also theres a Hard Rock cafe too, there pretty good too.

Don't know where you will be going in Tennessee, but if you go to Nashville or Memphis stop by Neeley's BBQ. It's the best BBQ and sides in the south.

Cracker Barrel is pretty good since it originated in Lebanon,TN.
