Actually, yes.  there are Pors*C*hes that can be had on the cheap.

Look for a 924 - but its the b*****d child of Porsches - actually used Fiat engines

924S, 944 all can be found under $5000.  

When you move into 914, 911, 928 and other more prominent Porsches, then you are out of your budget

There is no such thing as a cheap porsche.  YOu get what you pay for.

An old Porsche will cost a LOT to maintain/fix. It's not like buying a used Civic. You will be buying a car that was intended for rich people and Porsche's aren't cheap.

You will never find a prsche for cheap that is good. You can't even find a care that is cheap and good. You get what you paid for.

the words cheap and Porsche do not go together.

a Porsche boxster 2001 $18K to $20,000

if you could find an old 914 for $5K it would cost you another $5,000 to restore it.

for $5K the closest thing to a Porsche is an Acura Integra

but check your insurance, rates have gone thru the roof.

you might see a few ads for 944's but again the parts are outrageous.

look for an old nissan maxima, bullet proof engine
