Do smart USA dealers accept trade-ins?

I'm on the waiting list for a fortwo and would like to know if I can trade-in my old car.

Ask them. Each dealer is different. If you are trading a gas-guzzler SUV or truck, you won't get much attention from any dealer. Some dealers have used car lots, some don't. Some are owned by a conglomerate that has other locations with used car lots. Some simply sell their trade-ins at auction. Buy you'll have to ask your dealer specifically about his own policies.
