Do online employement apps run your credit?

I've applied at a few places using online employment apps such as unicru. I started thinking after a few, do they run my social everytime? I don't want my credit score to be lowered because it keeps being run.

Or do they save the info to run until after the employee needs it, and then is run?

Generally, if you apply for a job online, they will not run your credit until after they have reviewed your file. When they decide to do so, they will have a specific form that you will sign/e-sign and it will explicitly state that you authorize the company to pull your credit.

If they want to pull your credit, they will HAVE to get your permission prior to doing so. Some places will have that form online as part of the initial application, and some will not.
