Is that why they say the words "Arnie Palmer" to the waitress with a little smile curled up on one side and one eye on the buddies at their table?

  1. I get that a lot too, I think they feel like they are being original or something, or that I won't know what the drink is and that they'll feel superior having to explain it to me.

  5. i get alot of arnold palmers but i've never heard anyone say arnie; plus i order the drink alot myself ... it's not really an uncommon term especially if you have been serving awhile

    arnold palmer: iced tea/lemonade

    roy rogers: cherry cola

    shirley temple: cherry soda

    suicide: mix of all the sodas
