Crosman 664 air rifle scope question?

I have a Crosman 664 (bought in the kit) and no matter how I adjust the scope on the gun, it always aims high (causing me to shoot low). How can I fix this? Do I need to file anything? Make some sort of shim? Thank You

First off, your scope might be defective.  Depending on the average distance of your targets, base where you set your crosshairs to that range.
