    Dale Jr's little bit: His dad was the "Man in Black," so perhaps Junior became the "Man getting the Black Flag" for that first lap adventure.


  2. They are just the writers opinion about who's running the best and has the most momentum based on the last few races.  Its basically who is surging, who is falling, and who is being consistant.

  3. The power rankings are more less the update on the drivers doing the best.  You can be at the top of the point standing and be running bad and you can be at the bottom of the points standings and be running good.  I like the power rankings because it gives people at the bottom of the list credit where credit is due.  

    If Kyle Busch finishes last the next two races, and Kevin Harvick wins the next 2, Kyle will be lower on the rankings even though he is leading the points, and Harvick will likely be one or two on the rankings list.
