Cost of Living in DR.

Question

Just would like to know the cost of living in dominican republic.

since my friend and i will b there in the next few weeks and will be staying until just before christmas

im not really sure how much anything cost there?

I dont want to be flashy with my money more stay to a Simple life, back packers budget.

so if u noe the prices to n e of these thanks.

beer?

rum?

smokes?

chicken?

rice?

fruit?

vegtables?

cell phones?

interenet time?

a dinner out? (local)

any other prices of things you would like to mention would be great also!
