  1. Could be a bad ground from the fuel pump.I do not know the location of the ground. The oil pressure sending unit on older s-10s used to be on drivers side of engine low on the block toward the back of the engine.Again I do not know exact location on the 2003 S-10.Haynes or Chilton Manuel would benefit greatly. If you crawl under the engine after you jack it up,you may be able to see it.

  2. oil sending unit is most offen by the oil filter and will have nothing to do with the fuel pump.. two differant  units .... fuel pump not working then its a fuse or a bad pump or a dirty fuel filter

  3. go with jnc623 unless its a 4.3==sending unit is in back under the distributor=

  4. What's -up? I see that most of the answers hit it on the nose.Ijust wanted say that your on the right track ,ithink your all most got it going.Likr everybody said like next to the oil filter and it should be screwed into the side of the motor,if for some reason you don't find it theere, then look below the distributorand it will be s***w into the block.Take it easy.

  5. Jerry,  don't bother looking for the oil pressure switch as a possible solution for your no start.,,,, (if you insist, it's below the distributor)

On you vehicle the fuel pump does NOT use the oil pressure switch as a back-up.  (it is an oil pressure sensor  not a switch, it has one signal wire to the instrument cluster)

Make sure your ECM B fuse is good, this fuse provides power to the relay.   the PCM provides the other power to the relay, with key on powers-up for 2 seconds then shuts off (normal).

If OK, then you have to go to tank and check power at Grey wire, (remember PCM will only power up for 2 seconds, you must cycle key for additional 2 seconds. (best if you have someone helping with the ignition while you check wiring)

Also check the black ground wire.

  6. It should be near the oil filter, try to get a wiring diagram, most of the chevy fuel pumps do feed thru the oil pressure circuit, they run for 3 secs then don't come back on till oil press is built. if you have no power when you turn the key on( the 3 secs) then you have a power problem to the fuel pump. hope this helps.
