Charity Golf Tournament, The First Annual Golf for Groms Tournament, to be held in April
The charity event of The First Annual Golf for Groms Tournament will be hosted by Surf Ride, Ezia, and Bull Taco this year on Thursday, April 26, 2012.
The San Diego Golf Courses at the Crossings, Carlsbad in CA is the venue of the event. This tournament will be a fund-raising programme that will benefit the StandUp For Kids and the Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Both of these are 501 (c) (3) non-profit organisations. They are working for and supporting different causes in the San Diego.
The StandUp For Kids is renowned for supporting the youth sector of the entire region. It works and plans to end the problems of the youth that is facing homelessness in different parts of the region.
This is one of the most serious issues in that region and no other organisation is working to solve the youth problems, except The StandUp For Kids.
Similarly, the Rady Children’s Hospitals is also working for children’s rights and protection.
Its mission is to enhance, sustain and restore children’s health. It also helps the youngsters to develop strong bases by providing them with education, knowledge, research and advocacy.
The organisation also creates awareness regarding care for the young. It is seen that most of the San Diego-based children are living below the poverty line.
In order to save their future and health, the efforts of this organisation are appreciable.
Now, both entities are hosting a golf tournament in San Diego in the hope of raising funds and extending further support to the region’s natives.
The Crossings at Carlsbad is spread over 1,000 acres and consists of 18 holes at costal and natural land.
It is owned by the municipal golf authority of City of Carlsbad and is open for the local public.
Players will enjoy difficult bunkers, water hazards and exciting greens. The terrain is also a challenge for all and golfers usually learn several new tricks for a better game at this course.
Surf Ride, Ezia, and Bull Taco's hard work to organise a tournament on such an appealing course is laudable.
The Golf for Groms Tournament will definitely raise money and will increase its support for the children.
