Careers in photography?

I love photography and would like to have a job where I could take pictures someday... What are some careers that would allow me to do that? And how would I prepare for them?

Look into Wedding photography and Studio photography.  I explored those fields for awhile, but realized I was more interested in photojournalism and them marketing.  All of these fields use photography, it just depends on where your best skills are.  A lot of local photographers won't mind you interning with them for a bit to explore the field, everyone can use the extra help too.  It's a lot of fun, best of luck to you!

Wedding photography (though you don't shoot weddings every day)

Glamour photography

Children and pet photography

I think these are probably the most lucrative fields of photography.

Decide which you'd like to do then find out more specific information about your choice.

Look in your phone book for photography places and call them and ask if they can tutor you in picture taking or ask if you can intern for them. I did it this summer and LOVED it.
