i cannot type numbers either where symbols are igot this symbol @ by copy and paste on internet

i know a cool symbel ok                 ? press Num  Lock on the number pad then hold Alt and  1 then let go at the same time it should be a smilley face like this...?.hope i help and i'm only 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
