Can i start ballet at age 14?

Question

When i was about 5 i had a tap/jazz class for about 5 or 6 months but then my teacher broke her neck so we had to stop...We were just about to learn ballet and then it was over. Well, now i'm 14 and i still want to learn ballet...Everybody told me i was too old to start now. I would really like to know if that's true...I want to learn ballet so bad! Please help.

Course yu can! It will be a while until you get pointe shoes because if you started earlier you would be getting them around now, but never mind. Work hard. Don't be put off when you are in a class with younger kids to start while you learn. Good Luck
