Can I sub specialize in Hematology and sports medicine with a internal medicine residency?

  1. Hematology and sports medicine are both two completely separate fields. Heme is usually entered through a pathology residency as far as I know and sports medicine can be entered through multiple initial residencies (orthopedics, emergency medicine, internal medicine). So, yes, you can do either of them without doing an IM residency, but you can't do both of them at the same time without doing two separate residencies in unrelated fields.
