Can I get ABC 2 channel on my regular TV channels?

I know theres abc 2 channel on the cable subscription services. but I want to know can I get abc 2 channel for free on regular tv channels ??

To view ABC2 you need a digital box. You can pick one up for around $50, even Coles sell them.

ABC2 is a free to air channel just like ABC1. SBS also has additional channels only available on a digital reciever.

You don't need to spend more to buy a High Definition box as these channels are only Standard Definition at the moment.

Its definitly worth while if you have kids as they show cartoons through the middle of the day.

You can get a set-top box for under $50 and with that you can get all the digital broadcasts including ABC2. If you buy a new digital TV you can tune the TV to the digital stations without needing a set-top box.

They are very cheep around $40 for a semi decent one.

ABC2 is a Digital (only) TV channel.

There's also SBS2, but it's only International News broadcasts no other shows. (Japanese News, Russian News etc.)

You can pick up ABC2 on Digital TV.

You either need a digital television set or a digital set top box.

I don't have a Digital TV.

It cost me about $89 a couple of years ago.

They're probably cheaper now.

There are some very good shows on ABC2 and also repeats of shows missed on ABC1.

No, get a HD digital box costs more even better you get seven and ten HD and 13 free to air channels. ABC 3 starts in April. More free to air channels are coming on through the year. You can get ABC 2 on the net. Check out the TV guide on the Yahoo main page it has the programs on HD channels. Channel 1 and channel 70.
