Question:

Botox has given me a droopy eyelid - has anyone else had this

It started 3 days after my injections and over the course of the next three days got worse. Now my eye is almost closed (the other eye is normal). I spoke to the doctor and he said some of the botox must have dripped into my eyelid muscle and that it will last for 2 weeks....it's been a week already. Is 2 weeks realistic? I am getting worried that it may last longer.

  1. maybe its not the best idea to have one of the most poisonous naturally occurring substances in the world injected into your eyelids

read the side effects bit of this link

In cosmetic use, this means that the client will complain of inappropriate facial expression such as drooping eyelid, uneven smile, loss of ability to close the eye. This will wear off in around 6 weeks.

  2. I think it's well known that this complication can happen actually. Luckily it shouldn't be permanent.  It's nasty stuff.
