im currently living in Kent but seriously considering moving back up North. Where are the nicest places to live in Shropshire i think we'd quite like somewhere semi rural. My husband is in IT so would have to commute to a big town any ideas???

  1. Church Stretton is nice, lots of hills and walks, but with lots of amenities including a decent supermarket and a huge antiques centre.   It's probably a little cheaper than some of the slightly more picturesque towns.  Has a railway station, park, restaurants, pubs and cafes too.

Shrewsbury is ok and less isolated.

Ludlow, Craven Arms, Bridgenorth and Much Wenlock are very pretty.  The ironbridge area is pretty but always feels a little dead.

You will see hundreds of really nice properties while you travel between all these though - including some really unique buildings.

    I'd avoid Telford.
