The French international has accredited his current trainer as being a father-like character at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Benzema expressed that Mourinho is one of the most important reasons behind his flourishing form this season, revealing that the Portuguese mentor has an outstanding way to communicate with his players.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 player went on to state that Mourinho is like a father to him and exclaimed that every time the two men communicate, it is in a father-son manner.
This season has seen the forward come forth as the first choice striker for Los Blancos, and it is impressive to see that the Frenchman took the opportunity and used it well.
The French national has managed to bag a number of important goals for the Spanish giants and that too on a considerably consistent basis.
Interestingly, things were not the same when Benzema was first signed by Los Vikingos in the summer of 2009.
When the attacker first came to the Spanish capital, he had to endure a difficult time while trying to find his form. Consequently, the player failed to make the mark he was expected to make at his new club.
However, the footballer has managed to turn things around for himself and has proven his mettle this season, accrediting his renewed role at the club to Mourinho.
While talking to reporters, the 24-year-old quoted:
"Mourinho talks to me like a father speaking to his son. In one of the first training sessions, he approached me and said in French: 'How are you? I hope to leave behind the Benzema of last year'.
"I noticed that he had affection for me. When he came to Madrid I had a bad back and was disappointed at not being able to go to the World Cup. But he told me I must try harder in training.”
