Bayern Munich express interest in Genoa winger Domenico Criscito

German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich have reportedly shown their interest in Genoa’s left back-c*m-winger Domenico Criscito.
The 24-year-old has been involved with the Rossoblu since 2006 after coming on a loan deal from Juventus. In 2010, the Italian became permanent with the club after the club purchased the remaining 6 per cent of his contract.
However, Criscito has denied any links with the Bundesliga side. The defender was of the view that he has not yet been approached by anybody nor he has any plans to leave the club soon.
The Italian international, since joining the club, has managed to make 142 Serie A appearances in which he scored 9 goals for the club.
The left-back, speaking on Bayern’s interest in him said, “It is still too early to be speaking about my future. We shall see what happens in about a month's time.”
Criscito has also managed to appear 13 times for the Italian national team since making his debut in 2009 against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Switzerland-c3016 in a friendly fixture at Basel and has not scored yet.
There are reports suggesting that the youngster has also been under the scanner of Serie A clubs like AC Milan and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan. It is expected that the interested clubs are going to bid for the left wing back during the 2011 summer transfers and he might
get a good price for his achievements.
Bayern Munich are currently 4th in the Bundesliga with 42 points and 16 points behind the leaders Borussia Dortmund. This means their title hopes are all but over for the ongoing 2010-11 season.
Munich would love to sign the defender this summer as it would bolster their defence and will give them a more solid chance of challenging for the title in the next season.
The defender and his club are continuously denying Bayern’s interest in him but the amount of attention Criscito is drawing, it is highly likely that he will make his way out of Genoa soon.
