Arsene Wenger remains optimistic despite draw with Manchester City
Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has gone ahead and stated that he strongly believes that his side are very strong contenders for the Premier League title. The manager came forth and stated this despite his side not being able to breakdown a more than resilient
Manchester City side, at the Emirates.
As a result of the game, the Gunners are now standing in the third place – two points short of City. The team, however, has a game in hand over the Eastlands team.
Throughout the course of the game, Arsenal dominated their rivals. The team could have even been celebrating a third consecutive home win, if they had managed to beat the post. Arsenal managed to hit the woodwork, not once but twice. In the first half both

The match ended with both the teams being reduced to ten men, since the full-backs on both ends of the pitch were shown a straight red for a bust up on the field. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bacary-Sagna-c7148 and the French right back was not very happy with
the challenge. He went on to confront the City defender and after a series of head-butts were exchanged between the pair, they were both asked to leave the game.
However, City were criticized throughout the game by the Arsenal fans, who made their ‘Boring City’ chants well heard. City even drew some heavy comments from the pundits and the commentators, as they seemed to be more focused on just defending more than
anything else.
Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 seemed to be very unconcerned about those comments as he walked out of the Emirates with a hard earned point.
Arsene Wenger on the other hand seemed to be very happy with the result and even went on to state that he was very happy with the work that his team was putting in. The manager is reported to have said, "Overall there is no way we should lose courage or
belief in our team. It is the opposite"
"We should even come out with even more belief in our quality and be more resolute in the coming games because we have shown we have what it takes to be a serious contender in this league."
Despite showing so much confidence, the manager is well aware of the fact that his side are now four points off the league leaders Manchester United, who have a game in hand. The manager despite being calm for now, will have to ask his team to step their
game up in the near future if they hope to land the Premier League title this season.
