i honestly had never even thought of wallet chains as a potential item that wouldn't be prohibited in any given place until i wasn't allowed with one past security at six flags. does the security at airports allow you to carry on a wallet chain or is it considered a weapon or a threat or something. hopefully someone can tell me their personal expirience because i looked on TSA's website and it doesn't say a thing about wallet chains.

  1. Yes, wallet chains are allowed.

  2. I've never had a problem with mine, I've worn it for 10 years and gone through the checkpoint about a dozen times. At six flags the guy told me those aren't alowed, but just keep it tucked in. The only time I had a problem was at a (Rage) concert. I had to run all the way back to the car and put it away.

  3. It is one of those things that has not been classified. I just asked one of my friends who works for TSA and he says that it is based on the screener. In the passed they have allowed to people walk on with them. He made the suggestion that you should pack the chain in your bag and let them check it under the plane and when you get there you are all set to go.

  4. None of the airlines will tell you what not to bring on asd hand luggage.

A short chain should not be a problem

  5. I would think they would be fine, just take your wallet off and put it thru the xray machine with the chain just like the women do their purses-I've had rings and other metal studs etc on mine and never had a problem. Call your airline too-ask a live person.

  6. As long as you take it off when you go through security and put it on the conveyor belt, it should be fine.
