Are University exams hard?

The difficulty exams vary so much depending on the university, the class, the professor, your learning style, etc.

I was a biology major and the exams were VERY difficult.  Memorization alone would get you an "F" guaranteed.  The average grade in my classes ranged from 20-65%.  However, in my calculus and English classes, it was very easy to earn a solid A or B if you put in just a little bit of effort.  

Whatever university you go to, start preparing for the exams from day one.  Study a bit everyday so that the night before the test, you only have to review your notes to refresh your memory as opposed to actually learning everything the night before.
