    FRUIT STUFFED FRENCH TOAST FOR 2

    4 slices of your favorite bread

    1/4 cup Neufchatel cheese or cream cheese

    2 eggs

    2 tbsp. milk

    2 tsp. sugar

    1/4 tsp. cinnamon

    your favorite fruit thinly sliced

    syrup

    powdered sugar

    1. Spread Neufchatel cheese (or cream cheese) on one side of each slice of bread

    2. Place fruit on 2 of the slices of bread

    3. Put the other 2 slices on top (you can use some extra Neufchatel cheese around the edges to keep the bread together if needed)

    4. Mix milk, eggs, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl big enough to put the bread in

    5. Can be cooked for 2 minutes in counter-top grill or in a skillet sprayed with cooking spray for 2 minutes on each side.

    6. Put syrup and powdered sugar on top and serve!

    Makes 2 servings, 1 sandwich each

    The leftover egg mixture may be used to make cinnamon sugar scrambled eggs to go with your French toast.

    Good luck

  2. This is my recipe that I made up.  This comes out sweet enough that you don't need syrup on top if you don't want. My family and I eat this hot with syrup and also at room temperature as finger food if we have any leftovers.

       * 4 eggs

        * 1/4 cup powder sugar

        * 1 teaspoon salt

        * 2-3 Tablespoons maple syrup

        * 1 Tablespoon cinnamon

        * 1 cup milk

        * 10 to 12 slices white bread

    Break eggs into a wide, shallow bowl or pie plate; beat lightly with a fork. Stir in powder sugar, salt, maple syrup, cinnamon and milk.

    Over medium-low heat, heat griddle or skillet coated with a thin layer of butter or margarine.

    Place the bread slices, one at a time, into the bowl or plate, letting slices soak up egg mixture for a few seconds, then carefully turn to coat the other side. Soak/coat only as many slices as you will be cooking at one time.

    Transfer bread slices to griddle or skillet, heating slowly until bottom is golden brown. Turn and brown the other side. Serve French toast hot with butter and syrup.

    Recipe for French toast serves 4.

  3. beet two eggs with 2 and half tbsp of sugar and then add 2tbsp of cream and  3 tbsp of milk mix it and then take a bread and cut down its thik part if u dont like it other wise its okk dip  bread piece in eggs mixture from all side and fry in a midium heat in a 4 tbsp oil until they turn into light golden brown

  4. Beat a couple eggs in a pie plate as if you were making scrambled eggs.  You can add a few teaspoons of milk or cream to help smooth it out.

    Dip slices of bread in it, then turn them over and dip the other side.

    Melt some butter in a frying pan.  Fry one side until it's golden brown.  flip and fry the other side.

    That's it.  Very simple.  Top with whatever you like.

  6. I have found that baked french toast is quicker and easier to make. Plus, it still tastes magnificent.

    8 slices of bread

    3 eggs

    3/4 cup milk

    1 teaspoon sugar

    Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Beat the eggs into the milk and add sugar. Dip each slice of bread into the mixture. Place the bread on a cookie sheet (make sure the edges of the sheet are raised as to avoid a mess). It is okay if the slices are overlapping. If there is leftover mixture, you can make an extra slice and/or pour it over the slices in the pan.

    If you want, you can sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on the top of the slices. Bake them in the oven for 8 minutes, then take them out, flip them, and put them back in for another 8 minutes. Different ovens may bake them in different amounts of time, so be sure to check on them.

  7. There is a great recipe called Saturday French Toast at

    http://allsecretrecipes.blogspot.com/sea...

    It is fantastic and comes out rich and delicious.  At that same link are two terrific toppings made of fresh fruit.  One is homemade blueberry syrup, the other is brandied plum sauce.  I have tried them both, and they are wonderful.

    Good luck!  Hope you like the recipe!

  8. Whisk 2 large eggs, 1 tsp of vanilla extract and a 1/3 cup of milk together.  Soak slices of white bread in egg mixture and shallow fry in a pan until golden.  Sprinkle with icing sugar.  Serve with syrup.
